Are Ukrainian Women Like Russian Women?

Even though Ukrainian and Russians considered to be the same race with a similar culture, there are some differences which should be discussed.

Is Ukraine the same as Russia?

The phenotype

Both Ukrainians and Russians belong to the white race. Due to the length of the territories, it is impossible to unambiguously determine the phenotype of the population. However, one can speak of the relative predominance of one type or another. Thus, in the European territory of Russia and the Far East, the features of Eastern Nordics, European Pontids and Baltids prevail, in the northern parts of the country – Eastern Baltics, in the Urals – Uralids, in the southern regions – Northern Pontids. On the territory of Western Ukraine, the features of Gorids dominate, to the east – European Pontids, in the south – Pontids. These are not evidence of racial advantages, but merely defining external features.

Appearance

According to the phenotype, Ukrainians are dark-eyed, dark-haired, with the relatively dark tone of skin (the closer to Western Ukraine), thin-boned and tall. And closer to the east their hair is lighter and they are lower in height. The Russians, however, are light-skinned and light-eyed, with light blond hair spreading, moving to the Urals with a Mongoloid eye shape, medium height and endomorphic body shape. However, it is unlikely that it will be possible to distinguish a Ukrainian from a Russian in the metro by external signs since there is a lot of blood mixed in modern people.

Temperament

The temperament of Russians and Ukrainians also differs very noticeably. The daughters of Ukraine, like most southerners, are more emotional, hot, impulsive, somewhat more aggressive. In one word we can call them choleric-sanguine. The Russians, as residents of the northern lands, are calmer. They have a slightly slow reaction, are prone to reasoning and pessimistic moods. Moreover, Ukrainians are more sociable comparing with Russians who are more misanthropic. In addition, Ukrainians easily unite on a national-territorial basis into communities, while the Russians have virtually lost the ability to unite.

Housing

Domestically, Ukrainians are different from the Russians in their economy and with their desire to provide themselves with everything they need independently. This is due to the fact that the territory of Ukraine is historically predominantly agrarian. Industrial Russia (citizens as a significant class) treated the economy more directly, based not on self-reliance, but the interaction of production. Naturally, the substantial Russian territories were always very heterogeneous, and the way of life in different climatic zones was different from others. The territory of Ukraine was more homogeneous due to compactness and it ensured relatively equal living conditions.

The warmer climate relative to the majority of Russian lands allowed Ukrainians to spend less time on elementary survival. In part, this has shaped the national character to be more cheerful and good-natured. The Russians, living in a more severe climate, have become accustomed to the struggle for the resources and the costs of a massive amount of energy for their conservation. In addition, the economic and political situation evolved in different ways: serfdom in the Russian territories created more stringent conditions for the peasants than it did in the Ukrainian, where the Polish elite owned the serfs for a long time.

The national cuisines

Indeed, the national cuisines of these two nations are strikingly different. Naturally, the difference is primarily due to geography. That happens because the flat territories of Ukraine exclude forest and sea fishery. And the northern territories of Russia exclude vegetable growing and gardening. Accordingly, the composition of many national Russian dishes includes fewer vegetables, more cereals and potatoes, beef and other products. Ukrainian cuisine also includes a very different combination of vegetables, buckwheat and wheat. Pastry made from rye flour is a Russian national dish, and wheat flour is a Ukrainian national one. In general, there is a huge number of baking options for butter, while in Russians it is often bland.

Religion

Religions and attitudes toward them played a very significant role in the formation of national characters. The forcible baptism of Russia and the dogmas of Orthodoxy (to a great extent the religion of self-torture and submission) for centuries have shaped the depressive moods of the Russian people. Total bans on many household human joys, the need to ask for forgiveness at the slightest retreat from church norms, the constant human fear of a formidable deity and without that carried little positive. Ukrainians were more fortunate in this respect.

Because of the collected territories and the mixed population, they received vaccination from both Orthodoxy and Catholicism from Poland. According to the folklore, Ukrainians had almost crony relations with gods, and there was no fear of the church and God. The religious cult was also absent, so the Ukrainians were relatively free of dogma. Accordingly, it influenced the national character at least in domestic relations. The change of faith was not cruelly punished. According to the tales and songs, the sedentary life of the peasant is closer to the people of Ukraine. Its economy is characterized by common sense, optimism and the ability to have fun. The Russian people are somewhat more closed, more acutely aware of social inequality, prone to some kind of mysticism and depressive moods.

Statistics

According to statistics, Ukrainian women are considered to be more beautiful than Russian women. Ukrainian girls are in first place all over Europe. On the contrary, Russian girls are in third place. The difference is not so big, but it exists. But both of these nations considered to be very beautiful in America and Europe. For many foreigners, Russian and Ukrainian women are beautiful. Foreign men dream of having an affair with Russian beauties, some later admit that a short holiday romance has become almost the most exciting adventure in their lives.
